Shopping

Where do you get milk if you don’t have a car to drive to the grocery store? Where can you get a new basketball or tennis shoes? The businesses on Halsey, Broad, and Market streets next to campus are an essential part of living downtown. There are clothing stores, music and bookstores and more. There is a shuttle from the residence halls that provides transportation to grocery stores that aren’t within walking distance of campus. The Newport Centre in Jersey City is a mall easily accessible via the PATH train and the Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth is accessible via bus.

Rutgers-Newark does not endorse any commercial vendors operating outside of the campus.
