Whatever your idea of fun is—be it going to concerts, baseball games, running, going to movies, museums, sightseeing, or playing
pool—there’s always something to do in Newark. The Newark Museum, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Riverfront Stadium are
all just a five-minute walk from campus and they frequently offer student discounts to various events. The Paul Robeson Campus Center,
in addition to organizing many student events on campus, maintains a game room with pool and ping-pong tables, and movies are shown once a week during the fall and spring
semesters. NJIT also has a game room open to all students. The Golden Dome Athletic Center provides aerobics classes, basketball, racquetball, tennis, swimming facilities, and more. The all-weather track across the street from the Golden Dome is open for students, faculty and staff to use any time of day. There is also a sand volleyball court next to the residence halls.
Rutgers-Newark does not endorse any commercial vendors operating outside of the campus.
